Version 1.0 March 1995

Introduction

Hello, and welcome to the VORTEX SOFTWARE emulation package. This is the first
version of a freely available collection of emulated games, information, and other good
stuff relating to VORTEX SOFTWARE. For a more detailed account of who we were
(are) please see the appropriate included file History.doc. Newer versions of this
package will appear on the net from time to time, as work pressure allows!

Legal Stuff

2) VORTEX SOFTWARE retains the copyrights as to the use of all characters, names,
graphics, source code, and other related materials found in this package or otherwise
distributed.
3) VORTEX SOFTWARE reserves the right to remove the titles from the public
domain at any time without warning.
4) No allowance has been made or even implied for use of any of the properties on any
other computing system. See point 2) above.

Thanks!

There are many people to thank for this package...

First of all, thanks to Costa and Luke -- who gave me the best possible start in the
computer games industry as well as being very good friends. It was a honour to work
with you!

Thanks to all the 8-bit emulator writers -- yours is really a labour of love! You all have
done a great job in keeping the old games alive. Without you none of this would have
been possible.

Thanks to all the internetters who are keeping these 8-bit systems alive and kicking!

Special thanks (in no particular order) to:-

Arnt Gulbrandsen
Marco Vieth
Gerton Lunter
Carlo Delhez
Emmanuel Roussin
Kevin Thacker
Martijn van der Heide

If Ive missed anyone its purely my trying to get this thing out to net! Remind me and
Ill definitely put you in the next compilation.

Be seeing you!

Note: special permission has been granted to The World of Spectrum archive to
carry the games on individual basis rather than this (in)complete package.
