By destroying the heart of his empire. The downward path is your only hope... The fire in your heart caused by the untold deaths he has caused... Your only strength on a hostile world... You can run, but you can't hide... TELADON IS WATCHING!!! LOADING INSTRUCTIONS -------------------- Spectrum 48k/128: Type LOAD "" then press ENTER on the keyboard Next press play on your cassette player Commodlore 64/128 Press SHIF and RUN/STOP on the keyboard Then press play on your cassette player Disc Users should type LOAD "*",8,1 Then press RETURN OBJECTIVE --------- Survive the tunnels and navigate your way down through the mazes until you reach the centre of Teladon's complex. Then activate the self destruct device which will destroy his empire. GAME PLAY --------- Tunnel Section: Race down the tunnel avoiding the tunnel edges. There are various obstacles; BOULDERS avoid them or blast them out of the way using your lasers. TWO TYPES OF ENEMIES TYPE A Type A craft zig zag from side to side and fire target seeking missiles at you which may be destroyed by your lasers TYPEB These spinners travel through the tunnels at very high speed.. they must be avoided FORCE BEAM FENCES These occur between type A craft and boulders. To overcome them you must use your laser to destroy either the boulder or the craft upon doing so the beam will collapse and allow you to pass.. HITTING THE BEAM AT HIGH SPEED WILL DESTROY YOU!! GATES These may only be opened to allow you access through them if you have picked up the correct key ITEMS OF USE To pick these up simply drive over them KEYS You will need these to pass through gates LASER PODS Replenishes Laser power OXYGEN PODS Replenishes oxygen supply HOLES (EXITS) Drive onto one of these and decelerate. If you manage to stop on one after a moment or two you will be transported down into a maze level below WARNING On the tunnel levels there is no oxygen so you must maintain your oxygen supply (see oxygen meter.....(line of bubbles) If you travel at high speeds collisions with obstacles will destroy you Travelling at slow speeds will allow you to just bounce off them CROSSNAIR TARGET SIGHT is controlled by accelerating or decelerating or (on Spectrum) using the 0 and K keys. Complex Section To reach this section you must descend through a hole (exit) from the tunnel section Progress through the maze avoiding or destroying (hint.. it is easier to destroy your enemies by using stealth.. stand at corners and wait for them to come round then fire.. the reason for this is because in the atmosphere of the complex your lasers are inhibited and only have very short range capacity) your enemies. They will fire pulsating plasma globes at you.. YOU MUST AVOID THESE. To do this you must duck to the ground or step out of the way. To duck... press down and fire together. EXTRA LIVES Step on these and your lives will be completely replenished (ie 9) AIR CHUTES These will take you up to a higher tunnel level TRAP DOORS These will take you down to a lower tunnel level There is oxygen in the complex atmosphere so you will not need to use up your oxygen supply HOWEVER it is still a good idea to pick up oxygen pods should you come across them.
