MODERATE RETRIBUTION This game was authored with Jonathan Cauldwell's Shoot 'Em Up Designer (S.E.U.D). I hacked the game with some of my own asm code to give extra colours*, a front end, music (by Dr Thomas using Beepola). The define keys routine is adapted from the one in the S.E.U.D designer. *with Jonathan's permission. Loading ------- Spectrum 48k/+ type LOAD "" and press ENTER (for the uninitiated, Key J is 'LOAD' and'"'= SymbShift+p at the same time) Spectrum 128k/+2/+3/+2A Tape Loader Option probably ok, but maybe best to use 48k mode eh. Control ------- Keyboard only sorry, keys are refineable via the main menu, default is QAOP-Space-H=Pause (the choice of kings). Objective --------- Go with the flow and shoot the aliens, and bosses. You'll get the hang of it. Important backstory -------------------------------------------------------- You look skyward through the sash windows of your space pod. Your planet is old, the sky rusty from the swollen red sun. You wonder to yourself if all the battles have been fought. A phone rings... Hello commander... ...what's that?... ...alien empire attacking?... ...giant bosses?... ...scramble immediately?... You hang up, and look again to the sky. The war may have been lost, but this battle can be won. Aviator shades? Check. Flight suit? Check. Synthi-cigs? Check. A steely Resolve to smash an alien empire? Check. A resilient spacecraft coated with a veneer of Pomodorian flesh? Check. Then it's time to dish out some MODERATE RETRIBUTION.
