Infrared disassembler: reformatted for readability Scanned by juice@2008 #################################################### INFRARED Infrared is a disassembler program written specially for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. it gives full Z80 mnemonics (the exception being that after relative jumps, the destination address is given rather than the displacement) Infrared is supplied in two different versions for use in either 16K or 48K machines. Please make sure that you are using the correct version for your machine. If you have a 48K Spectrum and Ultraviolet, the complementary assembler program from ACS Software you can have both Infrared and Ultraviolet in memory at the same time provided that Ultraviolet is loaded first. To load Infrared use Load. The 16K version loads in three sections so please be patient. When loading is complete clear the screen and low memory by pressing any key. The disassembler remains in high memory and can be run with RANDOMIZE USR 54000 for the 48K version or RANDOMIZE USR 26600 for the 16K version. This will produce the prompt STARTING ADDRESS? and the address from which disassembly is to start should be input in decimal. (If you make an error typing in the address, do not use "delete" - press "E" instead.) The first 21 instructions, starting at this address will scroll up the screen. Each line of disassembled listing takes the form of the decimal address of the first byte of the instruction, followed by the machine code in hexadecimal, followed by the first 14 characters of the appropriate mnemonic. After a page of disassembled listing has been given, the program awaits a command. These are: C - continue disassembly R - restart disassembler at a new address P - copy listing to the printer E - exit to BASIC Infrared occupies about 6000 bytes, so if you have a 16K Spectrum, you may need to use SAVE "" CODE x,y and LOAD "" CODE 23760,y to deposit sections of code into a REM statement y bytes long in low memory.
