DEVIL'S CASTLE by Josep Coletas (c) 2011 J.C.C. THE GAME There's a sinister castle in the middle of the dark woods where the evil lives. A mighty sorcerer serves the devil there. At midnight you can listen the devilish chants and the laugh of hell. The sorcerer has kidnapped your best friend and the princess kingdom. They need your help! The castle is randomly generated every time you play. Remember that is a dungeon crawl style game, so walk peacefully to the rooms and think your actions. The castle has 450 rooms. Every room is a square in your screen. The game it's a BASIC program, so you can press BREAK at any time (useful to cheat. Look at line 40 for interesting variables). OBJECTIVES 1.Rescue your best friend and the princess. 2.Kill the evil sorcerer. 3.Return to the exit. KEYS Q Up A Down O Left P Right T Use a torch USING A TORCH With the torches you can explore through holes and windows the surrounding rooms before entering them. When you use a torch the colour of the surrounding rooms changes to green or red. Green for safely rooms. Red for dangerous rooms. You start the game with 10 torches. COMBAT You fight against the game monsters with dices. If your dices outcome is greater than the enemy dices outcome your dices points are substracted from the enemy life points. If the enemy dices outcome is greater than your dices outcome the enemy dices points are substracted from your life points. If your dices outcome is equal to the enemy dices outcome nothing happens. Be careful because: You can't retreat during a combat. This game isn't for cowards! Every time you attack you lose 1 strenght point. If your life or strenght points reach zero you die. POTIONS You can find three potions types in the game. You can drink potions during a combat only. To drink a life potion replenishes all life points. To drink a strenght potion replenishes 1 strenght point. To drink a magic potion gives an additional dice until the end of the current combat (max. 5). LOADING Type LOAD"" then press ENTER.
