By the DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!! BaSe1 PrOdUcTiOnZ 2009, 2011 Based on the original concept by Matthew Smith. Game from software projects 1984. Uses John Elliott's JSW 64 Engine version ] ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2: Some lingo about the game. This game is my first proper MM Clone, and by that I mean all the screens act like the ones from Manic Miner, collect the items, the portal flashes, you jump into it, and onto the next screen. It is however made using a slightly modified JSW 64 version ]. So even though it plays like MM it is infact the JSW engine. So on a technicality I've still never actually made a completed MM clone using the actual Manic Miner game (I will one day honestly :D). I came up with the idea for the game as far as I can tell while I was working on Miles Mad Mission, and having dug out the brief room list I slung together from back then have decided to go ahead and finish this off and put it out as a mini-game. The finished game will only have the 10 screens I originally spewed out (no doubt in a drunken stupor? lol). Even though I really started working on this in 2011 I've decided to add 2009 to the years I've worked on it simply because I came up with the idea sometime in May 2009 apparently? I did start it back then but never got further than cobbling a few platforms together for the first screen, and the Clopit's sprite. UPDATE: I changed the amount of rooms to 12 instead of 10, afterall 10 seemed a little too well little I guess? ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 3: Story Clopit was wandering through the woods as he usually did in his happy carefree life, when all of a sudden a scary looking castle as if by magic rose from the ground, clopit tried to hop away but against his will he was pulled inside by a mysterious force. Help Clopit escape the scary castle by collecting mystic items strewn around it's 10 scary (and in some places just plain weird) realms, to help disolve the boundaries of Hoh! The Evil Dimension Benders alternate realities and escape back to the woods. Mama Clopit will be worried to death if you don't return home before dark... ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 4: Rooms. Decided to do a little something different with the room write ups for this game, no indepth details about how I moved an earth block 3 spaces to the right in order to allow the skylab to burst in the correct position above the fire blocks or anything like that, just some Jumpin Jack-esque cryptic stuff, which rhymes. 1: Clippedy Clop, Clopitty Clip. If you can't get ahead....it's red? 2: Run Fatty Run! Timing is the key, don't become fatty's tea? 3: 8 mile This is a Mad Mission of it's own you'll see, to escape the room steal the 8 mile's E? 4: toilet mania (use flapping toilets). Jump the toilets don't get hit, avoid the plopping alien shit? 5: pitlops Pitlops cause Clopits Mortal strife, but your reward may be a bonus life? 6: plobbles Everybody knows a plobble, watch how much her boobies wobble? 7: rik tik ting! Fat frog beats a rhythm out, the unstable floor is your way out. 8: munters. Ugly buggers it has to be said, perhaps you should give the big one head? 9: Patience The electron beam won't cause instant death, but will slowly suck your breath? 10: 10, 4, rubber duckey! Flying balls and spinning duckey, you might win something if you're lucky? 11: In the lair of the Lanky Charva! Drinkin' tha cider, or sniffin the glue n' gas will take a couple of goes off ya, but divven't look at the Lanky Charva or he'll bite the very nose off ya? 12: escape! Don't step off number one maybe that's what to do? If that's the case reverse it over and don't step onto two? _______________________________________________________________________________________________ 5: Legal stuff and thanx Clopit! By the DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!! BaSe 1 PrOdUcTiOnZ 2009, 2011. Based on Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy by Matthew Smith. Software Projects 1984. Thanks to Matthew Smith for All things Miner Willy. Thanks to John Elliot for JSWED and JSW64. This game uses the Broadsoft Lifts Patch by Dr. Andrew Broad. This game uses 2 of ERIX 1's sprite animations, although the bitmaps are altered. This game is free, don't sell it, it's not for sale. If you bought it you're a mug, what can I say? Feel free to use any of the bit's n' pieces from this game for your own stuff if you like, but maybe let me know if you do? That would be nice.
