Timex Sinclair "1050" Personal Computer Carrying Case

The scan to the right is from Ramblings Volume 1, Number 5.
Ramblings was the Timex Computer Club newsletter published by Timex Computer Corporation in 1983.

In the column "Ramblin' Around", Timex announced the availability of the carrying case and noted that only 2,000 were available.

It is very doubtful if more were ever manufactured since Timex stopped production of all computer items little more than 2 months after the carrying case was announced.

There was enough space under the computer to also carry the manual.

The TS1050 designation was not assigned by Timex Computer Corporation, but comes from the Zebra Systems Inc. Product Catalogs. The scan to the left is from the Fall/Winter 1985 catalog and, as shown in the scan, the Zebra Systems catalog number is TS1050 for this item.
Cost was $9.95.

The scan to the right is from the E. Arthur Brown Company Computer Hobbyist Catalog Number E10 and shows a modification of the carrying case to house a computer keyboard. This was offered in 1985/6 and came as a kit with the keyboard, carrying case and charts & instructions necessary to put the whole thing together.
Cost was $14.95.

It actually looks pretty nice.
