PLAYING UGH!



The Ice Age is coming and Ugh knows that he's got to stock up his cave 

with food. Stealing Pterry the Pterodactyl's eggs seemed like a good idea

at first until Pterry caught on to his escapade and started dropping hunks

of rock on poor UGH!



Being fleet of foot, Ugh was doing a fair job though of stealing a fair 

number of egges, but then Rex the tyrannosaurus and Alison the alisauraus

appeared to assist Pterry!



Ugh must run from his cave at the foot of the hill up to Pterry's nest at 

the top of the hill and dodge Pterry's stones as he does so. He has a spear

to defend himself with against either Pterry, Rex or Alison. But he can 

only carry one spear at a time! If he needs another then he has to return 

to his cave to get one. When he's got one of Pterry's eggs Ugh has to get 

it back to his cave, but to pick up an egg he has to drop his spear, and 

leaves himself defenceless for the run back to his cave!



SCORING:



Reach nest ............................ 400 points

Get egg to cave ....................... 600 points

Kill Rex Alison .......................  75 points

Kill Pterry ........................... 250 points



There are five maze paths for Ugh to follow to the nest!



CONTROLS:



Keyboard controls: Which keys move Ugh up, down, left, right and fire his 

spear are totally redefinable. Hold down the 'right key' and the 'up key'

to go up and to the right, and so on.



This game allows the use of the majority of joystick interfaces (Kempston,

Trigger Command, Tric Stick, Sinclair Interface 2, dktronics, RAM turbo,

Fuller and cursor key joysticks).



There is a 15 position High Score table with an arrow pointing to the last 

score acheived. A competition is being run for the highest scores on Ugh! -

contact us for details. You may take the option of printing the table to a 

ZX printer, at the end of printing which a special code will be given for 

the competition entry.
