THE SPECTRUM GAMES DATABASE TERRAPIN PUBLISHER Appeared as an article in Your Computer magazine AUTHOR Ian Collier YEAR 1984? DESCRIPTION Clone of an obscure arcade game called Turpin. CONTROLS Keyboard, cursor or kempston joystick. The game featured in Your Computer had the Ultimate-style QWERT keys, but a newer version has QAOP+space keys and also has Sinclair joystick control. INSTRUCTIONS Your purpose in life is to rescue baby terrapins and take them home without being killed by a bug. Six of the mystery boxes in the maze contain babies but the other two contain turtles so you must run away as quickly as possible. When you enter a mystery box and find a baby, a house will appear and you must take the baby to it. As a method of defense you can drop bombs, but these only stun the turtles for a short time. While a turtle is stunned you can walk over it. You can collect more bombs by passing over the star in the middle of the screen.
