_____________________________________________________________________ Moonscape: Simon Allan Software 2008 Written & Illustrated by: Simon Allan _____________________________________________________________________ INTRODUCTION & THANKS 'Moonscape' is a graphic adventure which I originally finished in 1985. This was just before I wrote 'Wizard, What Wizard?' and just after I finished work on 'The Land Beyond Time - Part 1'. These other two games have recently been completed and published on the CASA and WOS websites. Please try all my adventures from these great websites: Trail published by Central Solutions 1985 The Ring of Dreams published by Central Solutions 1985 The Land Beyond Time published by CASA website 2006 Wizard, What Wizard? published by CASA website 2007 If you have tried any of the above games then may I take this opportunity in thanking you. 'Moonscape' is a new adventure which has taken me 23 YEARS to finish. The 1985 version was never published. It used 'full screen' graphics and was created with the help of 'The Quill' and 'Illustrator'. The 2008 version features split screen graphics and uses 'The Patch'. The game was written and illustrated using a ZX Spectrum 48k (rubber keypad version) then converted for PC use using Spectrum Tape Loader Software. There are basically two parts to this adventure. The first part is an escape from the Moonbase where you are stationed and the second part is a trip through the barren landscape of the Moon to find a space vessel which will get you back home. Moonscape You are a Private stationed on Moonbase Alpha-4. The base is the last automatic ore mining refinery. It has been half an hour since you last heard from the other members of your team. In their last video message they pleaded with you to get off the Moon. You decide to leave the base and head for the only Space Vessel. You are restricted to a small area of the base because of security measures and your only means of transport to the Space Vessel is by Moon Buggy which is located at the far side of the Moonbase. Your task is therefore simple, forget about the other members of your team, follow your orders and ESCAPE FROM THE MOON......
