[..]enclosed are some files relating to my Frogger game. This has been a long time coming but your site has pushed me to finish it. As I said in the notes before, it's a conversion of the CPC464 version. When I dug it off a microdrive a couple of years ago, I realised it was just too fast and unplayable and I wanted (foolishly) to fix that. The source code is in the PDS development system format and my modern editors won't have any of it so I spent some time writing a converter (the PDS units are long since dead!) Then used a DOS based assembler and recompiled it. Then there's the fun of getting it onto a real or emulated spectrum to try it without waiting minutes for loading. This I've found can be done with WinZ80 by auto-generating the binary as an RS232 file which I can load in quickly to the emulator - this gives me control in basic to save things out! The only fun came when I needed to save headerless code blocks so 'PROGRAM' doesn't appear on the title screen. Soon dug some code out for that. So therefore the enclosed TZX has only ever seen virtual tape! Hope it works OK - it has AY music and FX, also converted from the CPC version (for which I had to write a music editor program too - this unfortunately is only on the CPC (so far!!) ). The game was only ever done for fun and you guys are doing me a favour putting it on the web, for fun - I want to thank you for that. Let me know what you think, best wishes, Dean.
