instr (front) DEFUSION Time is running out ... you are only seconds from an explosive experience. A live bomb ticks menacingly as you try to get near enough to defuse it. Unfortunately your path is littered with Booby Traps. To say nothing of a very determined Hit Man, who follows your every move as you race to stop havoc and devastation. To further confuse you, you may only use each path once. So take care you don't get trapped. In the direst emergency it is possible to make a new path, but that will take the one thing you haven't got ...time! WORMS What's slimy and nasty and ties itself ... and you, in knots? You control the worm as it grows and grows, relentlessly filling the screen with its segments. Take care to keep clear of your own tail, as contact means certain doom. Only by exactly locating the Black Segments can you cross your own path. But watch out for the Bluebottles. You must end one to avoid crushing yourself to death ... instr (back) LOADING: To load DEFUSION or WORMS, press the 'J' (LOAD) key. Then, holding down the 'SYMBOL SHIFT' key, press 'P' (PRINT) twice. Now press 'ENTER' and 'PLAY' on your tape and the program will load. Always ensure that your tape volume control is correctly set. Both games are Kempston joystick compatible. DEFUSION GAME PLAY A - UP M - RIGHT Z - DOWN J - Moves the path left N - LEFT K - Moves the path right Features: FLAGS - Score Bonus Points SKULLS - Booby Traps BOOT - Hit Man BOMBS - Watch the Second Counter Clock The object of DEFUSION is to disarm all the bombs that appear on the screen, and to collect the Bonus Point Flags. Be sure not to tread on any Booby Traps, and keep clear of the aggressive Hit Man. You may exit the screen on any side (top or bottom, left or right) and then reappear on the other. WORMS GAME PLAY A - UP N - LEFT Z - DOWN M - RIGHT SCREEN ONE Manoeuvre the worm to go through as many of its Black Segments as you can. Then catch a flashing Bluebottle to proceed to the next level. SCREEN TWO Eat all the Flowers, but do not touch the wayside Rocks. SCREEN THREE Find your way through the maze eating all the Flowers. SCREEN FOUR Negotiate the Worm Tunnel, being careful not to touch the walls. SCREEN FIVE Catch the elusive floating Blue Dandelion, but avoid wayside Rocks and your own tail. SCREEN SIX You are descending into the secret depths of the earth. Make sure you avoid all the Rocks on your journey. SCREEN SEVEN Now you're ready for the final part of your trip. Press any key to start and use the 'A' key to jump the Bottomless Pit.
